Global Evangelical Credit Project - GEEU

GEEU is a full-featured credit union management platform I led development on, built to digitize the savings, loans, and shares operations of a church-based credit union. As lead developer, I directed a team through the design and implementation of the system, from data architecture to member-facing features and internal reporting tools.

The platform covers the full credit union lifecycle: member savings accounts with deposit and withdrawal tracking, a loan management module handling applications, approvals, disbursement, and repayment schedules, a shares/equity module for tracking member contributions and dividends, and a comprehensive reporting suite giving administrators visibility into cash flow, member balances, loan performance, and institutional financial health. The system also handles member onboarding, account statements, and role-based access for tellers, loan officers, and administrators.

Tech Stack:

• Backend: Laravel (PHP) — handling business logic, authentication, financial calculations, and reporting
• Frontend: React with Livewire — combining Livewire for tightly-coupled, server-driven interactivity with React for richer, more dynamic UI components where needed
• Database: MySQL
• Other: Role-based access control, PDF/report generation for statements and financial summaries
